Amanda Richardson isn't just the Lead Brewer at Fullsteam. She's also gone out of her way to find little things that our brewery can do to be more sustainably-minded. Together they add up to have a huge impact on Fullsteam's carbon footprint. She's saying farewell to Fullsteam and to North Carolina on April 16th -- just before Earth Day -- but before she leaves us, she's brought together some of the ladies that have collaborated with her to help Fullsteam and Durham be more ecofriendly.

Join us from 3-4 pm for a ticketed event (link below) as guest speakers share their insights and their resources with Pink Boots Society North Carolina so that we can carry on Amanda's work of making the NC Beer community a little greener. Panelists include:

• Margaret Sands of Triangle Land Conservancy
• Crystal Dreisbach of Don't Waste Durham
• Tania Dautlick of Keep Durham Beautiful
• Daria Drake of The Durham Originals
• Tobin Freid from City of Durham, NC Government
Sustainability Office.

We're serving up a Hefeweizen made with extra doughnut dough from Monuts, brisket sliders made from Jackson Cattle & Trading Post spent grain fed cows, and banana clove donuts donated by Monuts -- free for the first 36 registered guests!

Register here.

When Fullsteam opens at 4pm, we're inviting the general public to join the conversation. All of the panelists -- as well as representatives from several other businesses and organizations --  will make themselves available to talk one-on-one with interested attendees about how to implement the programs and resources Amanda has put into place at Fullsteam (or any other projects or goals you are working on).

Enjoy some rare beers that benefit Pink Boots! Learn more about organizations working to end food waste! Bring any (clean) unwanted growlers to exchange or donate. We'll also show you how to turn grain bags into shopping bags without a sewing machine.

Help us celebrate Earth Day and say good-bye to Amanda by carrying on her mission to make the Triangle a greener place to live and work.

No need to register...just come on by.
