Fullsteam isn't selling beer yet...we're just brewing test batches and giving it all away.

Makes a hearty chutney with Fullsteam Carolina Common in it!

"I often try to pair cheeses and condiments with wine, but, to me, what they really scream for is great beer. With this in mind, I decided to put great beer front and center in our winter seasonal, robust, pub-style chutney.

The chutney is made with North Carolina Stayman Winesap and Arkansas Black apples, local green tomatoes, onions, dark brown sugar, spices, dates, malt vinegar, and Fullsteam Carolina Common. We're calling it "Hearty Fullsteam Chutney," and we recommend it as part of the traditional Ploughman's Lunch of farmhouse cheddar, crusty bread and a pint or two. It makes a killer grilled cheese condiment as well."

We at Fullsteam love local and seasonal foods and the strength of the farm-to-fork movement here in central North Carolina. Phoebe and April epitomize the new old wave of growing, harvesting, canning, baking, and pickling. Chris, Brooks, and I are very fortunate that Phoebe and April "get" beer, and we're super honored that they were willing to work with our test batches.
