Bronze, Vegetable Beer
2015 US Beer Open
A nod to Southern inventor (and sweet potato champion) Dr. George Washington Carver.
Brewed with hundreds upon hundreds of sweet potatoes per batch (and zero ounces of pie spice), this savory, smooth, and earthy lager celebrates the subtle flavor of North Carolina’s most prized crop.
We've brewed Carver for over a decade, learning from each batch and improving along the way. Our goal is to create a true Carolina taste of place. We're proud to say this taste of place extends to include all local malt, as Carver joins the pantheon of the Plow to Pint.
That's 70% local malt, 30% sweet potatoes -- 100% North Carolina. Everything but a touch of hops.
